KATIE
Owner
Katie’s experience includes running the events team at Lord’s Cricket Ground and overseeing events for a top London private members club. She oversees the running of the business and developing relationships with clients is what she loves most.

MARK
Owner
Mark’s 30+years experience includes Michelin level kitchens in Australia, London and across Europe, including working with Gordon Ramsey at Claridge’s. He is the creative brain and driving force behind Milkshed and his culinary expertise is second to none.

JONNY
Head Chef
Jonny joined the Milkshed kitchen team in 2019 with many years experience at a very high level. He is now Milkshed’s Head Chef, expertly overseeing everything kitchen-related and ensuring that each and every dish is top-notch.

LIAM
Pastry Chef
Liam joined the Milkshed kitchen team in 2023, bringing extensive experience across a broad range of catering establishments. He heads up the pastry section of the kitchen and is also an excellent banqueting chef.

Weddings & Events Manager
Claire joined Milkshed in 2021, bringing a wealth of hospitality and events experience to the team. She is a stickler for detail, exceptionally good logistically and a trusted and valued member of the Milkshed team.
WHERE IT ALL BEGAN
In 2012, owners Mark and Katie swapped their hectic London life and high-end London hospitality jobs in search of that elusive work-life balance that so many are searching for. They moved their young family and Katie's parents to the Devon countryside and bought a run-down farmhouse with a few acres of land and a crumbling old barn. They were in search of a project!
They set about converting an old milking shed on the property into a luxury holiday cottage, doing much of the work themselves whilst working several jobs to pay for the build. Their high level of customer service, coupled with a unique private chef service has seen them win several prestigious awards, and in 2021 they added a cozy Hideaway which is now often used by wedding couples as a base when they come for their menu tasting and wider wedding planning.
Once the holiday business was up and running, Mark and Katie launched Milkshed - a bespoke catering company, specialising in weddings across Devon and the South West. They now cater for around 100 weddings and events per year - each one being completely unique!

Why Milkshed?
Milkshed was founded by Mark and Katie - their property in Devon was a former Dairy Farm with a Milking Shed (now a luxury holiday rental). In addition to this M, I, L, K are the combined initials of Mark, Katie and their two children, Louis and Ivy.
What is your favourite part of running Milkshed?
We are privileged to work with amazing bridal couples, high-end corporate businesses and lovely people celebrating life’s milestones. We LOVE what we do with a passion and to say our job doesn’t feel like work is the most amazing feeling.
How do you choose your team?
Our team is amazing! We have selected core team members who are not only incredibly experienced in their roles but also an utter pleasure to be around. We trust them implicitly and we know that our clients will love working with them.
Are you looking for new staff?
Our core team remains unchanged in recent years but we are all very well supported by a strong team of part-time, casual (but incredibly professional) staff. If you would like to join our team, please get in touch with Katie to discuss any current opportunities.

We have been catering and planning weddings in Devon, Dorset and Somerset for well over a decade. We have an extensive network of wedding and event professionals and suppliers, who we will happily recommend to enhance your wedding or event.
